April is National Garden Month

DATE April 29, 2015LEAVE A COMMENT

National Garden Month is a time to spread the word about the importance of garden-based education in our communities. We all want our children to be healthy. Let’s teach them where healthful food comes from. Most importantly, let’s teach them HOW to grow this food themselves – empowering them to be stewards of the environment who embrace (and cultivate) their role in the food cycle.

This April, visit NationalGardenMonth.org for free articles, fun giveaways, and new resources that celebrate gardens in our schools, backyards, and communities – and share your own growing adventures with us using the #NationalGardenMonth hashtag on Facebook and Twitter. It’s time to keep growing!
