Geometry in Action

Godfrey-Lee Middle School students put what they learned in the classroom into action today to help a member of their community! Under the guidance of teacher Brett Addis, Home Repair Services, and Disability Advocates, the students built a wheelchair ramp for an elderly woman in Wyoming. When asked what building a ramp had to do with their curriculum, the students went into detail explaining how everything they had learned in geometry was put into use on the project! The students worked so efficiently, they also painted a garage, pulled weeds, and planted flowers. The homeowner and her family were extremely grateful! See more of this story on Fox 17 News tonight!
